I am a professional surface pattern / graphic designer / illustrator with designs having been printed for Clinton cards, Oxfam, and Birthdays among others.
I have a National Diploma level in Art and Design, specifically Textiles and Surface Pattern Design. I love Digital Photography, Illustration/Drawing, Printmaking, 2D Pattern Design, and Textiles.
I'm not interested in going to university, I don't believe its a necessity as it doesn't guarantee you a job, and it doesn't guarantee you are any good! People have told me you can learn a lot on the job and I've gotten where I am today without any extra qualifications, and am very proud of myself.
I am obsessed with flowers and eyes in photography, although I do have love for the sky, and people.
My preferred photography style is Macro. I love the tiniest of details captured in them.
I use a digital camera for my photos, a Canon Powershot SX210 IS.
My influences include: Alexander Henry, Sanderson Fabrics, William Morris, Dan Mumford, Celeste Stein, Lucienne Day, Terrence Conran, The print and pattern blog, & everyone I work with!
I use illustrator and photoshop in my work, as well as drawing by hand. :)
I am currently Freelancing and cannot show my work until it has been used
Please note I have recently decided to do some attempts at modelling. Mostly its just been with a friend, good clothes and my trusty corset, but I am hoping (sort of) to branch out - I am mostly just trying to wake my confidence up a bit.
Please do not use my work without permission. I work very hard on my pieces.
